Ready to create something beautiful with your own two hands? Step up to the lathe and explore the ancient, meditative art of woodturning at the Rocky Mountain Folk School.
Under the expert guidance of master woodworker Dennis Fanning—who brings over 30 years of experience—you’ll learn to transform raw wood into one-of-a-kind pieces.
Day 1 focuses on spindle work: you’ll create spatulas, rolling pins, juice meddlers, honey dippers, and a few festive Christmas ornaments.
Day 2 dives into crafting wood plates and bowls.
This fast-paced, hands-on class is designed for all skill levels—no experience necessary. Choose a one-day session ($100) for a fun introduction, or join us for both days ($200) to build your skills and creativity. All tools, materials, and safety gear are provided.
