Beginning Leatherworking: Handcrafted & Hand-Painted Leather Wallet

October 17 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
$116.60

Create a leather wallet that’s truly one of a kind! In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of leatherworking while crafting a premium leather wallet from start to finish.

You’ll assemble and stitch your wallet, install snap hardware, learn leather finishing techniques, and create a unique hand-painted design directly on the leather. Choose your own inspiration—from mountain landscapes and wildlife to western themes, abstract designs, or something completely your own.

No previous leatherworking or painting experience is required. Your instructor will guide you through each step and help you develop the skills needed to create a finished wallet that reflects your personal style.

**This workshop is taught by a graduate of Rocky Mountain Folk School’s Instructor Development Program. **Through mentorship with one of our experienced leather instructors, graduates demonstrate proficiency in this specific project before earning the opportunity to teach it independently. By taking this class, you’re not only learning a traditional craft—you’re also supporting the next generation of leatherworking instructors.
