This captivating craft involves rolling\, shaping\, and gluing narrow strips of paper to create intricate and decorative designs. Quilling has a rich history\, with roots tracing back to ancient Egypt and significant development during the Renaissance in Europe. \nClass History:\nLearn about the fascinating journey of quilling through the ages. During the Renaissance\, nuns and monks used quilling to decorate religious objects and book covers with gilded paper strips\, mimicking the look of gold filigree. Quilling saw resurgences in the 19th century and again in recent years\, thanks to the efforts of modern enthusiasts and companies like Quilling Card. \nWhat You Will Learn:\nIn this class\, we’ll delve into the essential materials and sources for quilling\, practice making a variety of shapes\, and ultimately create a unique art piece. You’ll have the option to use one of the provided designs or bring your own creative vision to life.
