SUMMARY:Boulder Ballet at Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Playing Dates: April 27th\, at 7:30pm \n\nRocky Mountain Repertory Theatre and the Grand Lake Creative District have partnered to bring you a one-night-only performance of the Boulder Ballet. Please join us April 27th\, at 7:30pm for this fantastic cultural event! \nBoulder ballet is excited to be bringing two works to Grand Lake that showcase the incredible range of Boulder Ballet’s dancers\, the 1-act classical ballet “Les Sylphides” and an original contemporary ballet titled “Sun and Steel”.\n\nLes Sylphides is a beautiful classical ballet originally choreographed by Michael Fokine in 1909. It’s a non-narrative work that is accompanied by the music of Alexander Glazunov. The ballet highlights the stunning classical technique of Boulder Ballet’s dancers.\n\nSun and Steel is a powerful contemporary work choreographed by Boulder Ballet’s Artistic Director\, Ben Needham-Wood. Inspired by the writings of Japanese author\, Yukio Mishima\, this work explores the connection between the body and the spirit. Where does the edge of your flesh meet the edge of your soul? The work was premiered as a quartet at the historic Chautauqua Auditorium in Boulder\, CO just this past fall\, and will be expanded into a full company work specially for Grand Lake audiences.\nTickets for this event will go on sale beginning March 20th — along with all of the other Rocky Mountain Rep performances for the 2024 season. \n\n\nGet your tickets now at: Buy Tickets
